Lucchini Siderugica

Members of the Lucchini group Lucchini Siderugica is a fully integrated modern steel production unit, manufacturing vacuum de-gassed ingots, forgings and castings.

Production Plant

• Fifty tonne electric arc furnace with ASEA-SKF vacuum de-gassing plant
• E.S.R. furnace
• Forging presses upto 3,600 tons complete with all ancillary plant required by a forging operation such as manipulators
• Pre-heat and heat treatment furnaces
• Quenching tanks etc.

A machine shop equipped with the latest cnc milling and boring machines allows the supply of forgings and castings in both the rough machined and fully machined condition. Forgings and castings can also be supplied as sub-assemblies.

Castings - by use of multi-ladle operation, up to 140 tonnes in weight including mill housings, valve bodies, Caplan hubs Francis runners etc.

Tool Steel - Upto 800mm dia and 800mm maximum thickness forged bars in steel guaranteeing a high degree of micro purity and micro homogeneity.
