Founded in 1906, Ire-Omba is one of the longest established forging manufacturers in the northern Italian industrial belt, being a pioneer in the seamless ring rolling of steels and was one of the first such companies to supply the UK engineering industry more than 20 years ago.

Production Plant

• Three Wagner ring rolling machines including the latest C.N.C controlled machines complete with robotic handling.
• Two hydraulic forging presses for the production of pre-forged and punched billets for subsequent ring rolling.
• A modern computer controlled heat treatment plant and a machine shop equipped with C.N.C vertical borers and pitch circle drilling machines, up to 4,000mm diameter capacity

Production Range

Seamless rolled rings from 300mm to 3,800mm outside diameter in the form of plain rings and profiled shapes.

Materials

Carbon, alloy and stainless steels duplex and superalloys. All material is purchased as vacuum de-gassed ingot or billet.

Industries supplied

Gears, bearings, valves, process plant, defence, sub-sea equipment.

ISO 9002 Approved

All rings are supplied in the fully tested condition to either international standards or customers own specifications and certified to EN 10204 3.1B as a minimum. Chemical analysis, metallographic and mechanical testing is carried out in-house in a modern laboratory.

Non-destructive testing is performed by fully qualified personnel
